Please make contact using the Booking Enquiry form or by email to info@hikehighlands.co.uk This allows us to discuss your objectives and to check availability.

Bookings are only confirmed when the Participation Form and deposit have been received.

GDPR & your data All personal data that you share with Hike Highlands is held in strict confidence and will be either deleted or shredded upon completion of your chosen activity. On rare occasions it may be necessary for another approved & qualified Hike Highlands team member to step in and run the course that you have chosen. In this case, your data will be shared with them but only with the strict agreement that they then return any paperwork to Hike Highlands for shredding.

Participation Form

You are asked to fill in and return the participation form, along with your payment deposit. If you are booking for more than one person, each participant must fill in a participation form.

Invoice

A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the activity cost is payable at the time of booking, with a minimum amount payable of £25.00. The balance must be paid at least 28 days before the activity is due to take place. If your booking is made in the 28 days prior to the activity, then full payment is required. Payment details will be shown on your invoice.

Cancellation by you

Please notify us by email if you need to cancel your booking. If you cancel more than 28 days before the activity is due to take place, a refund will be made, minus the non-refundable deposit. If you cancel within the 28 days before the activity is due to take place, no refund will be issued.

Cancellation by us

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your activity, you will receive a full refund. We are not liable for any additional costs which you may have incurred, such as transport or accommodation. We strongly recommend that you take out appropriate travel insurance to cover these.

Safety and Insurance

Outdoor activities carry an inherent risk. We aim to mitigate such risks with a thorough risk assessment but they cannot be removed entirely. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we now advise all participants to carry their own sanitizing hand gel.

By booking, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the Mountaineering Scotland participation statement:

Mountaineering Scotland recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.

Your leader will give a safety briefing relevant to the activity being undertaken. You must abide by their instructions and respect their decisions made on the ground. Weather in the UK is notoriously fickle. When adverse conditions prevail, it may be necessary for the leader to alter or amend plans for safety reasons. In these circumstances we will aim to deliver a rewarding day but cannot guarantee that a specific summit is reached on the given day. The leader’s decisions are final.

Your leader is appropriately qualified to guide in mountainous terrain within the UK and Ireland and holds public liability insurance. We recommend that you should consider taking out your own appropriate personal insurance. This might include, but not be limited to, personal accident, personal injury, third party liability, loss of personal property, accidental injury or death. If you already hold life assurance or another relevant policy you should confirm that your activity is not subject to an exclusion clause.

Terms and Conditions for Bespoke Travel Planning

Booking and Payment

Please make contact using the Booking Enquiry form or by email to info@hikehighlands.co.uk. This allows us to discuss your objectives and time frame.

As Scotland is a popular destination, I highly recommend that you consider booking any accommodation at least a year in advance. This means planning well ahead to ensure that you have as many options open to you as possible.

A non-refundable deposit of 25% is payable at the time of booking with Hike Highlands. If you decide to proceed with the travel planning service, you will be sent your invoice. Details of how to make payment will be on the invoice.

In the unlikely event that we cannot fulfill your order in the agreed timeframe, you will receive a refund, minus the deposit. However the timeframe is dependent upon you supplying us with the information required in good time to make recommendations, such as, but not restricted to, the number of people in your party, number of children, whether rooms with child cots are required, etc.

We look forward to sharing this remarkable country with you.
